The Temptations and The Four Tops Atlantic city reviews
Pleasant Evening
I wish there was a way to provide a separate rating for each group. If there was, I would give the Temptations a 5 star rating and the Four Tops, a one star rating. The Temptations were polished, organized in there dance steps, clean looking on stage, and just overall “put together”. There voices were also much better quality and worked harmoniously. The Four Tops presented like a sketch comedy trying to remake something that was. Vocals were poor, almost screeching. The organist piano player was terrible. The dancing among the members were out of sync. It seemed that each Top was on stage by themselves, and not together in a group. The original Top that is left still had the professionalism left, but it’s like he’s dealing with a group of family members and want a be’s living in their family’s legacy trying to make a living. It’s not a bad thing to do, but if you can’t meet up to the quality of the vocals/band then give it up instead of dragging the legacy down. Overall, I gave the show 3 stars simply because it was an enjoyable night and the Temptations made it worth it. Very senior citizen drawn show. It also would be better if the show started at 7:00 instead of 8:00. There was no encore because it was too late! Performers at 80 years and older shouldn’t have to give an encore past 10:45PM.
